Therese Margaret Bass, age 89 of Delaware and a former Radnor resident died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at her home.
She was born on May 15, 1917 in Reserve, Louisiana to the late Mederic and Joyce (Catoir) Duhe. Therese became a resident of the Radnor area in 1949 and worked as a office clerk for Grady Memorial Hospital for over 20 years.
She was an avid golfer and former member of Kings Mills golf course. She crocheted extensively, and was a avid reader of mystery and suspense novels. A faithful member of St. Mary Church in Delaware, she was an active volunteer for Grady Memorial Hospital and lived life to the fullest. Eclectic in taste, she was outgoing with a sense of both humor and integrity. She will be remembered for her love of life.
Survived by Son: Jesse O. Bass Jr. of Santa Maria, California, Daughter-in-law: Linda Bass of Delaware, Grandchildren: Camille of New York City, Kathryn of Mesa, AZ, Kimberly of Scottsdale, AZ, Chad, Angela, and Heather of Delaware, Great-Grandchildren: Trevor, Brody, Dalton, and Sister: Alba Madere, Reserve, Louisiana.
Preceded in death by her husband: Jesse O. Bass on June 23, 1969, Son: Jean Anthony Bass on July 5, 1985, and her Brother: Louis Duhe.
Her family will greet friends Thursday from 4-7 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36) Delaware. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 82 E. William St. in Delaware, with Rev. Kevin Kavanagh Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
