  Notes	The Brazil Daily Times, Indiana, Monday, 20 October 1969 William Bass William F. Bass, aged 54, World War II veteran and long time employee of the American Vitrified Sewer Pipe Plant, died at 2:10 a.m. this morning at the U.S. Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been in failing health the past few months with treatments in Indianapolis Veterans Hospital. He entered the hospital October 9 again for treatment. Born October 29, 1914, in Illinois, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Mann) Bass. He spent most of his life in Brazil where he attended local grade schools and graduated in 1933 from Brazil High School. After high school he started tow ork at the American Vitrified Clay Plant in 1923 and continued there except for entering U.S. Army service in World War II. After the service he returned to continue employment until failing health. In 1937 he married the former Ethel Erwin. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church on North Forest Avenue. Survivors include the widow Ethel; one daughter, Sahri Bass, of Brazil; three aunts, Mrs. Alice Byers, of Pomona, Fla.; Mrs. Emily Adams, of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Francis Jardine, of Woodville, Indiana. Also two uncles, Joseph Mann, of Terre Haute, and William Mann, of Brazil. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles in 1953, and the mother, Margaret in May of 1969. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Angie, minister of the First Methodist Church, and Rev. Charles Wetnight, minister and relative of Indianapolis, officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Cemetery.
