T. Sgt. Harry L. Bass
CLEARFIELD ? Funeral services for T.Sgt Harry Lynnwood Bass, 40, of 546 E. 450 S., who died Wednesday in Layton of a gunshot wound, will be conducted Monday at Air Force Base Chapel No. 1.
Friends may calla t the Layton Union Mortuary, 1905 N. main, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
T. Sgt. Bass was born Feb. 1, 1930, in Clinton, N.C., a son of Elliot T. Bass Sr., and Eva Lucille Smith Bass.
He was married to Patricia Jean Runk in August 1958 in Las Vegas, Nev. She died Aug. 26, 1970.
He was stationed with the Air Force at Hill Air Force Base. He had served with the Army, Navy and Air Force, and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of Layton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8307 and the Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Jeffery Bass, Layton; his parents of Apopka, Fla., there brothers, Sgt. Mjr. Robert H. Bass, Special Forces, Ft. Bragg, N.C., Graham O. Bass, Winter Haven, Fla,; Joseph M. Bass, Hayward, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Gerard P. (Glenda) Donovan and Miss Ann C. Bass, both of Apopka, Fla.
