Bass, Mr. James Edwin - age 83, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Tri Community Cemetery with his nephew Reverend Tommy Bass officiating. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his grandson James Brian Bass. He served his country in the U.S. Army and is an honorably discharged veteran. He worked many years as an electrician , becoming an electrical contractor and earning his master electrician certification in 1985. He is survived by his daughter Teresa Harrell (Bruce) of Wetumpka, Alabama, son Dwight Bass (Cheryll) of Wetumpka, Alabama, brothers Russell Bass of Holtville, Alabama, Rayburn Bass (Charlotte) of Prattville, Alabama, sisters Laurene Ramsey of Farmington, New Mexico, Joyce Denard (Ted) of Farmington, New Mexico, grandchldren Amanda Reese (Chad) of Wetumpka, Alabama, Christopher Daniel of Montgomery, Alabama, Nicolette Harrell of Wetumpka, Alabama, and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Christopher Daniel, Bruce Harrell, Walker Faust, Brit Bass, Jim Gwin, Blake Bass and Pat Rucker. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
