George Grady Bass
George Grady Bass, 33 years of age departed this life Sept. 11th at the home of his parents, J. Morgan and Mattie Bass of Birmingham, Ala.
Grady is no more here on earth except ?in memory?, yet we shall eve cherish and love his genial cheerful nature. He lived practically all his life in Elmore county, and made a host of friends by his kind and unselfish spirit. He was a member of the Wallsboro methodist church, having joined in early manhood.
He was married to Miss Norma Law of Speigner, Ala., in October, 1923. They lived happily together, but God saw fit to make their happiness of short duration.
He served some time in the World War. There he contracted the dread rul disease, the he endured with a patie4nce that was wonderful and told his loved ones that it being God?s will, he was ready to go.
Grady can not come back to us, but we can go to him. May his heart broken loved ones look to Jesus who doeth all things well and who along can comfort them in this time of great sorrow.
Surviving him are his wife, father, mother, one brother and two sisters, all of Birmingham.
On Sunday morning, Sept. 13th, his body was brought down and laid to reset in Mr. Hebron cemetery. Rev. Bradley, pastor of Speigner church, conducting the service. Many friends and relatives paid the last tribute of respect.
