G. Steve Bass, age 61, passed away June 16, 2009 at his residence in Woodstock, Georgia.
Steve was a graduate of Georgia Tech and worked for Pilgrim's Pride where he was Vice President of the Southeastern Region Operations. He also served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Seaboard Poultry and General Manager of ConAgra. Steve was a member of Georgia Poultry Processors Association, a board member of Georgia Poultry Federation, a board member of Georgia Poultry Improvement Association, and a long time member of Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock.
Survivors are his wife, Pam Bass, of Woodstock; daughter, Amy Mohrmann (Eric) of Woodstock; sons, Jason Bass, of Woodstock, and Brad Carpenter (Julia), of Dallas, Georgia; brothers, Richard H. Bass (Carol) of Marietta, Georgia, and Philip D. Bass, of Dalton, Georgia; grandchildren, Carson, Walker, Bowen, Heidi, and Molly; several nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by parents, George and Virginia Bass.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Hillside United Methodist Church, Dr. Doug Thrasher and Reverend Doug Carnes, officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park in Canton, Georgia. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
