Funeral services are Monday, April 7 at 2:00 at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Craft, Reverend Gerald Wood and Reverend Anthony Counts officiating. Interment will follow at Balm of Gilead Church Cemetery. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean Mann Bass; son, Tommy Bass; daughter, Tammie R. (David) Baker; grandchildren, Tyler Baker and Hayden Bass; brother, Billy Joe (Virginia) Bass; and special brother-in-law, Lyvoid Futral. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolphus Bass and Nora Gantt Bass. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Jeremiah Futral, Leldon Futral, Kyle Futral, Billy Elliott, Mike Mann and Hunter Futral. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Grier, Jimmy Speake, Tommy McGough, Jeff Ash, Bobby Robinson and Dennis Roberts.
