Evelene Wilson Bass

Evelene Wilson Bass, 87, of 327 Bo Carter Road, Yanceyville, NC went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2023. She had been in declining health for the past six months.
Evelene was born in Rockingham County on February 29, 1936, a daughter of the late Charlie Boyd Wilson and Versie Poindexter Wilson. She spent her life in Caswell County. Evelene was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
On July 12, 1963 Evelene married Carson Franklin Bass, who died in May of 2011.
Evelene is survived by one son, Keith Franklin Bass of the residence, a special niece, Donna Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Raymond Wilson, Herman Wilson, Dewey Wilson, Aaron Wilson, four sisters, Margaret W. Neighbors, Lillian Coble, Alice Hillard and Clare Long.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Yanceyville Municipal Town Cemetery, 335 Oak Tree Street, Yanceyville, NC 27379 by the Reverend Steve Hinton. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Donna Johnson, 478 Bo Carter Road, Yanceyville, NC.
