William A. Bassett
WILLIAM A. BASSETT - 85, of Greenwich died Nov. 11, 2006 at Greenwich Hospital. Born in Greenwich on May 10, 1921 he was the son of the late William and Bertha Cash Bassett. Mr. Bassett worked for many years for the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department. He is survived by a son James Bassett of Riverside, a sister Margaret "Judy" DeMane of Greenwich a sister in law Elsie Bassett of Santa Rosa, CA, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Bassett was predeceased by a brother George Bassett. A memorial service will be held Mon. Nov. 20, at 10:30 A.M. in the Memorial Garden of Christ Church, 254 East Putnam Ave. Greenwich. The family would like to thank everyone who helped Bill, especially, Friendly Connections, Meals on Wheels, Jewish Family Services, and Debby Woodson of Greenwich Housing. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to these charities.
