Dale Bassett
Pella - Dale Marie (Crane) Bassett, age 58, of Bussey, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at the Comfort House in Pella.
Dale was born April 19, 1952, at the Oskaloosa Hospital to Dale "Pete" and Erna "Anna" Crane. Dale attended grade school in Bussey and later graduated from Twin Cedars High School, class of 1970.
After high school, Dale married Bob Bassett on August 8, 1970, and to this union two children were born, Robert Dale Bassett II and Jesyka Dyan (Bassett) Nolte.
Dale enjoyed her life in general and her family and friends. She enjoyed a hobby of video and pictures, which took her all over the area for nearly twenty years. She loved her work at Pella Corp. for over 32 years, especially the people she worked with and near to. She loved her church families at Bussey United Methodist and New Covenant Church. New Covenant Church is where she learned that life after death is eternal and you get to choose where you spend it. Needless to say, Dale is having a great time right now.
Dale is survived by her husband, Bob; two children, Robert Dale Bassett II and his wife Jodi (Bellon) Bassett, their children, Cole Heaberlin and Ridley Dale, and Jesyka Dyan (Bassett) Nolte and her husband, Justin, their daughter, Lotty Marie. Dale is also survived by her mother, Anna Crane; three sisters; Carolyn Perry, Marilyn Sherman, Joy (Ron) Dykstra; several nieces and nephews including Darby (Tony) Natale, and Leslie (Mike) Lucente; and her mother-in-law, Betty Bassett.
Dale is preceded in death by her father Dale "Pete" Crane; her father-in-law, John Bassett, and one brother-in-law, Jim Perry.
A celebration of Dale's life was held at New Covenant Church in Knoxville on Wednesday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Neil Montz officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established by the family at a later date.
Condolences may be sent to www.winfielfh.com.
