Terry Bass Baldwin

Terry Bass Baldwin, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019 in Sugar Land, Texas. He was born December 22, 1943 in Hartford, Connecticut to Donald A. and Barbara Bass Baldwin.
Terry was a man of God, who exemplified what it meant to be a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He cared deeply about people and never met a stranger. He openly welcomed all into his heart and home. He would love nothing more than to have a good long visit with you.
Terry found his way to Texas after serving in the US Navy at the Great Lakes, graduating from the University of Wisconsin, and taking a job with Texaco in Houston back in 1971. Terry left the oil industry in the early 80s, finding his true passion in teaching high school. He was a member of Sugar Land First United Methodist Church for over 40 years. During that time, he taught Sunday School, ushered, greeted, worked on the Palm Sunday children?s events, and attended numerous bible studies.
A devoted family man, Terry was married for 52 years to the love of his life, Mary Ann. He is survived by Mary Ann; their three children, Barbara Whittaker (Ken), Bonnie Sabbara, and Don Baldwin (Ammie); 7 grandchildren, Kate, Bethany, Kealy, Sami, Anabelle, Maddie, and Ethan; brothers, Tom, Don (Nancy), and Ray(Gracie) Baldwin; sister, PJ Wright (George); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, joy, and warm acceptance to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
To all who knew him, YOU were what brought him joy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10:00am at the Sugar Land First United Methodist Church, 431 Eldridge Road, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
