Ann Webb Bass
Stantonsburg - Ann Webb Bass, 82, left to be with the Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Stantonsburg, followed by visitation. Interment will be in Stantonsburg Cemetery. Ann taught elementary school in Greene County for 32 years. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. Ann enjoyed playing spades and rummy with her friends and fishing with Erskine. She was active in her church, working with vacation Bible school, serving as senior citizen director and as treasurer. Ann also delivered meals on wheels for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Boone, and husband, Keith, of Fayetteville, and their children, Austin, Allison and Alana; son, Woody Bass, and his wife, Meredyth, of Cary, and their children, Adam and Meghan. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Erskine Bass; grandson, Brian Chandler Boone; parents, Grover and Florence Summerlin Webb and sister, Ruby Merritt.
