William Mosely Bass Jr.
William ?Bill? Moseley Bass Jr. of South Boston died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at The Woodview. Born in Halifax County on Aug. 13, 1931, he was 79 at the time of his death.
He was an Army veteran, worked with Sprint Telephone Company and was a devoted member of Ash Avenue Baptist Church. He graduated from Turbeville High School.
Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mary Sadler Bass of the home, a brother, Walter H. Bass III and wife Barbara of South Boston, two sisters, Anne Burke and husband, James of Chatham and Jewel Rosser and husband, James of Graham, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adele Woodburn Bass and William Moseley Bass Sr. and two brothers, George E. Bass and Jacob W. Bass.
A graveside service for Mr. Bass will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 10 a.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Eure officiating.
