Judith Bass
Judith Bass, 80 of Villa Park also known as "Auntie Judy" passed away March 15, 2024. Judy was born at her home to William and Cecile Rodewald, October 1943. She was a devoted and loving mother to Charles Bass. Caring Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Some of her favorite things to do was play bingo, penny slots, and trying new recipes. She was very passionate about all of her nieces and nephews especially the great-great ones. The room would light up with her smile everytime a little person comes to visit her! She was the most caring person, worried about everyone and gave the best hugs. Judy was everyone's biggest cheerleader. She was considered like a second mother to all and there is not a person who does not love her with all their heart. She will be missed by us all!
Judy was preceded in death by her mom Cecile Rodewald, dad William Rodewald and husband Charles Bass. She is survived by her son Charles Bass, sisters Jackie Haltmeyer and Mary Rodewald and by 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great nieces, 7 great nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield on Saturday, April 27th at 11:45am for committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
