Lulu Olive Bass
Miss Lulu Olive bass, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Bass, of No. 2603 east Marshall street, and Mrs. James H. Lester, son of the late James H. Lester, were married Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o?clock by Rev. M. Ashby Jones. The ceremony took place in the home of the bride. Miss bass, who is a pretty brunette, wore a blue tailor suit, with hat and gloves to match and carried France roses. Miss Stella bass, her sister, was maid of honor, and wore white organdie. The bridesmaids were Misses Annie R. Kinsey, Sally C. Lester, Flossie L. Howard, and Iva Bass. Paul P. Woodfin, of Hampton; G.B. Williams, R.T. and D.E. bass will be the ushers. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Lester left for Niagara and Thousand Islands, and will return about November 1st, and be at home to their friends at No. 2608 east Marshall street. The parlors were decorated in palms for the ceremony and many presents were received. Mr. Lester is a compositor in business for himself and is also employed by T.W. Wood & Sons.
