Barry Dixon Bass
AUBURNDALE - Barry Dixon Bass, 51, of Auburndale, formerly of Lakeland, died Friday, December 9, 2011 due to cancer.
Barry was born on October 16, 1960 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Fleetwood Jennings Bass, III and Nancy Franklin Bass Bailey. His family moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1971.
Barry graduated from Lakeland Senior High School and attended The University of Florida. He was a retired Naval Nuclear Engineer and worked as a Field Relay Test Engineer in the years since his retirement.
Barry is survived by his wife, Noelle, mother, Nancy Franklin Bass Bailey of Lakeland, Florida, sons Brent F. (Kristin) Bass and Barry J. Bass, both of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, daughter, Erica Carrico, of Knoxville, Tennessee, step-sons, Adam M. Rolph and Evan J. Rolph, of Auburndale, Florida and sister, Elizabeth Bass of Lakeland, Florida.
A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Florida, 33823.
