Miss Franklin And Mr. Bass Exchange Vows
Southern Pines, North Carolina (Special) - Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Franklin of Southern Pines, North Carolina, announce the marriage of their daughter, Nancy, to Fleetwood Jennings Bass, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Bass of Williamson, West Virginia, on March 20 in Columbia.
The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Charles Pfieffer in the presence of a few intimate friends of the couple.
Mrs. Bass finished her work at Columbia College in January, gave her senior music recital in February, and will receive her diploma with her class in June. Mr. Bass is a graduate of Clemson and is connected with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Orangeburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Bass are at home at 147 Lowman Street, Orangeburg.

Fleetwood J. Bass III
Sumter - Fleetwood J. Bass III, 42, died Sunday at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Andrews.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Mayesville Cemetery directed by Shelley-Brunson Funeral Home.
Mr. Bass was born in Richmond, Virginia, a son of Fleetwood J. Bass Jr. of Spartanburg and the late Mrs. Lloyd Dixon Bass. He was employed by Clemson College.
Surviving in addition to his father and stepmother are: a son, Barry Bass of Lakeland, Florida; a daughter, Miss Beth Bass of Lakeland, Florida.
