A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Monday at her residence, with burial in Ash Camp Cemetery. Mrs. Bass had been a member of Drakes Branch Methodist Church for 47 years. She is survived by five sons, R. Edward and Thomas A. Bass, both of Richmond; B. Carter Bass of Blacksburg; Joesph Jennings Bass of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Gordon S. Bass of Keysville; a sister, Miss Karen Shackleton, of Norfolk; a brother Thomas Alfred Shackleton, also of Norfolk and five grandchildren.
