W. Holland Bass Succumbs Today
Wilburn Holland Bass, with the Cost department of Pepperell Manufacturing Co. here for eyars, succumbed to a heart attack in the Lee County Hospital at 3 a.m. today.
Funeral services will be conducted from Frederick?s Chapel Wednesday at 4 p.m. with Dr. James LeRoy Steele officiating and interment is to be in Garden Hills cemetery.
Mr. Bass was a native of Lee county and a member of the First Baptist church here. He was married in March, 1923 to Miss Odel Condon who survives. other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Josephine Logue of Panama City, Fla; two brothers, Cecil and Lehman Bass, both of Opelika; two sisters, Miss Louise Bass of Opelika and Mrs. R.H. MacArthur of Montgomery.
Pallbearers will be J.Z. Fuller, R.N. Cartwright, C.T. Brown, Dr. Julien Palmer, Winston Smith T. and Marion Hyatt.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are the following office associates of Mr. Bass; B.J. Armistead, T.J. Gormley, W.R. Williams, Oliver Smyth, L.W. Montgomery, R.B. Horsley, H.M. Carter, Fred Elliott, George Peirce, Winston Collins and J.E. Barbre.
Frederick?s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
