Judith Ann (Willis) Bass
November 15, 1939 - January 8, 2018 (age 78)
Judith Willis Bass, age 78, of Morehead City, passed away on January 8, 2018 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City, officiated by Dr. Nate Leonard.
Judy was born on November 15, 1939 to Harvey Edward Willis and Litha Rowe Willis in Miami, Florida. Judy relocated with her family to Newport News, Virginia in 1968 and had a successful career in real estate as a salesperson and broker. She also worked in title insurance and retail sales. She greatly enjoyed her work up until her illness at Davis Beachwear. Judy valued her relationships with all her customers.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Denise Garcia (Frank) of Norfolk, Virginia; Susan Lorraine Meeker (Bob) of Bullock, North Carolina; and Jill Joan Broadhead (Dean) of Timaru, New Zealand; one grandchild, Kendall Grace Broadhead of Timaru, New Zealand; a sister, Ronetta Gaskill (Kert) of Morehead City; nephews, Jimmy Butts and Stephen Butts, both of Morehead City; and many cousins and relatives of Harvey Edward Willis, Litha Mae Rowe Willis, Ronal Earl Willis, and Robert Moore Bass.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Edward Willis and Litha Rowe Willis; step-father, Ronal Earl Willis; siblings, Ronal Earl Willis, Jr., Alicia Arden Willis, and brother, Skippy.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and also after the memorial service at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City.
In lieu of flowers, Judy requested that memorial gifts may be made to Crystal Coast Hospice House at 100 Big Rock, Weigh, Newport, North Carolina 28570; First Baptist Church at 810 Bridges Street, Morehead City, North Carolina 28557; or your local food pantry or homeless shelter.
