Sybil Evans Bass
Sybil Evans Bass, 90, of Jacksonville Florida, went to be with Jesus on March 31, 2022. Sybil was born in Timmonsville, South Carolina on June 15, 1931.
She graduated high school in Timmonsville and met and married her husband, Les shortly thereafter. Les was in the freight transportation industry and they traveled and moved quite a bit before finally settling in Jacksonville, Florida. Among Sybil's favorite things were her church, singing in the choir, her puppy Janet, flowers and gardening, and selling Avon to everyone in Jacksonville and beyond. She especially loved her husband, sons, daughters in law, and grandchildren.
Sybil is survived by her son, David Bass, (Kimberly), sisters, LaRue Anderson, Hazel Watford, Mary Carter and brother James Evans. Grandchildren, Hannah Bass Thompson, Sarah Bass, Windy Bass Hilton, David Warren and Michael Warren; great grandson, Zachary Hilton and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Leslie (Les) Bass, son George Leslie Bass, brothers Curtis (Sonny) Evans, Eugene Evans, and sister Virginia Harrell.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April, 13, 2022 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32205, followed by a private family burial.
The family would like to thank Noble House Assisted Living Facility and Community Hospice & Palliative Care and all of the loving staff who helped care for Sybil.
