Mrs. Bass formerly lived in Warsaw. Sergeant Bass has been with the Goldsboro police department for several years. Greensboro Daily News North Carolina Tuesday, May 20, 1947 Sergeant Noah Bass Goldsboro - May 19 - Sergeant Noah Bass, 68, retired member of the Goldsboro Police Department died Sunday morning at a rest home in Baltimore to which he had been admitted two months ago. Funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the family plot near Lucama, Wilson County. Surviving are two daughters, two sons, and two grandchildren. Bass had been a member of the Goldsboro police for for 29 years. He retired about two years ago.
