Mrs. Bass formerly lived in Warsaw. Sergeant Bass has been with the Goldsboro police department for several years. Funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the family plot near Lucama, Wilson County. Surviving are two daughters, two sons, and two grandchildren. Bass had been a member of the Goldsboro police for for 29 years. He retired about two years ago.
