  Notes	News and Observer Raleigh, North Carolina Thursday, August 2, 1956 Mrs. Frances F. Bass Black Creek - Mrs. Frances Ferrell Bass, 81, of Black Creek, Route 1, died in her home early Wednesday morning. Mrs. Bass was the daughter of the late Burden and Harriett Ward Ferrell, and was the wife of the late Selby Bass. She had been a member of Lower Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church for 39 years. Surviving are her three sons, Thurman of Route 3, Wilson, Elisha of Route 1, Black Creek, and Burden Bass of the home; seven daughters, Mrs. William Rose, Mrs. Luther Rose, and Mrs. Russell Bass, all of Black Creek, Mrs. R.E. Boyette, Mrs. A.D. Dickerson, Mrs. Guy Rose and Mrs. Amos Bass, all of Wilson; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Rose and Mrs. Nettie Matthews, both of Black Creek; 37 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 4 o’clock in the Lower Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder Gerald Pate of Goldsboro, and Elder Paul Lamm. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
