E.H. Weds Ruth W. King
Miss Ruth Warburton King and E. Herbert Bass were married at 4 o?clock yesterday afternoon at the home of the bride, No. 116 Lovitt avenue, by the Rev. George H. McFaden, pastor of McKendree M.E. church.
There was a large attendance of the friends and relatives of the contracting parties, and the house was beautifully decorated with palms, roses and cut flowers, The best man was Mr. Edward L. Morton and the maid of honor was Miss Mary Elizabeth King, a sister of the bride.
The bride was attired in white chiffon over lace, and carried Bride?s roses, while the maid of honor wore chiffon over taffeta and carried a bunch of carnations. The groom and his best man wore black.
There was a reception after the ceremony, and in the evening Mr. and Mrs. Bass left by the Wasington steamer for a tour of the northern cities. After November 1 they will be ?at home? at 20 Bute street.
Mr. Bass is night chief operator at the local office of the Postal Telegraph company, The bride is one of Brambleton?s most charming young women.
