Fatally Injured In Auto Crash
Mrs. Hood Bass Dies of Hurts Sustained When Car Is Struck Near Lydia

Lydia - December 2 - As the result of an automobile collision near here yesterday Mrs. Hood Bass is dead and her daughter, Eddyann, is in the Florence infirmary seriously injured and Miss Ninnie Byrd is suffering from injuries at her home and the car in which they were traveling from the burial of Mrs. George Register, who was burned to death a few days ago, is a complete wreck.
The accident happened very near the home of T.R. Register at which place Mrs. Bass died.
Dr. B.G. Pitts and Dr. F.H. MeLeod were called to attend the injured. Mrs. Bass died in two hours after the accident occurred.
She leaves a husband and one son, Hood Bass, Jr., and two daughters, Eddyann and Mrs. Earle Goodson. The driver of the other car is not known. He is said to have stopped and volunteered to go for a doctor, but has not been seen since.
