  Notes	Charlestown News and Courier South Carolina Sunday, July 5, 1964 Henry L. Bass Lydia - Henry L. Bass, 78, died Saturday morning at his home in the Galloway community of Darlington County. Funeral services will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of Brown - Pennington Funeral Home. The Reverend John P. Snyder and the Reverend C. H. Boulware will officiate. Burial will be in the Galloway Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Toy Galloway, Hudson Galloway, Robert Bass, Ernest Bass, David Bass, G.B. Dampier, Hildreph Middleton H. Bass, George Bass Jr. and Raymond Galloway. Mr. Bass was born in Darlington County, son of the late George Washington and Katherine Griggs Bass. He was engaged in farming until his retirement three years ago. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Alma Galloway; two daughters, Mrs. Robert S. (Elise) Galloway, Charlotte, North Carolina and Mrs. Robert L. (Mavis) Goff of Lydia; two sons E. Gay Bass and Harry Lee Bass, both of Lydia, six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lawton Dampier of Lamar.
