Junius Law Bass, retired salesman of 809 Sixth Ave., Conway, died at Conway Hospital about 7:15 a.m. today after a long illness. Funersl service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Conway with the Rev. R.L. Deneen officiating. Burial will bein Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be W. Lee Robinson, Z.L. Atkinson, D.N. Forehand, Max Flowe, W.P. Gelzer, and L.M. Stanley, Honroary pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church. Mr. Bass was born in Darlington County March 27, 1882. He moved from Greenville to make his home in Conway about 20 years ago. He was employed as a retail salesman until his health failed several years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the board of deasons, having served as chairman of the board for a term. He attended Furman University. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ella ZBaine Hilton Bass and the following sons and a daughter by a former marriage, William J. Bass of Melbourne, Fla., Leslie Bass of Columbia and Mrs. M.G. Lewis of Jacksonville, Fla. Also surviving are a sister, Miss Blanche Bass of Darlington and several grandchildren.
