Gene Farin Bass
August 20, 1962 ? August 13, 2021
Gene F. Bass, age 58, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love and prayer on August 13, 2021. Though he will be missed in the natural realm by those who loved him, he surely found his home in the arms of his Savior.
A celebration of his life will be held at a graveside service on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 1:00pm. The location of this celebration will be Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck, NC with Pastor Mike Harrell officiating.
Gene is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carla M. Bass; daughter Jenna E. Bass, fiancé T.J. Marks and daughter Kayleigh; sons Isaac F. Bass and his son Cameron; Joseph W. Bass and significant other, Allie Perkins; honorary kids, Chase McNeill, Braxton Griffin, Parker Crane and Steven Davis; business partners, Jenniss Harrell, Thomas Biermann II and the entire Roofing Solutions family; as well as his brothers and sisters Mike, Eddie, Bill, John, Brent, Sonia, Angela, Janie and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the man he called his rock, Carl W. Manning, who he affectionately referred to as Dudie.
He was preceded in death by his parents John C. and Pearl M. Bass; sisters Marla, Kim and Laurie Ann and brother David.
Gene was passionate about God, family, work and politics. He served God faithfully both in and out of church. One would never meet a more generous giver of talent, time and finances. His faith was fierce as was his love for his family and friends. He was a rock for many providing guidance, stability and love. He never met a stranger and if it was within his power, he never let a need go unmet.
His work ethics were impeccable. Gene?s perfectionist qualities led to his success in many work arenas culminating in his final venture as co-founder of Roofing Solutions. His leadership and thirst for excellence paved the way for a successful company that thrives today.
As far as politics, one never had to guess his opinion. He would gladly banter in a most passionate manner to persuade another to his side.
Family will be receiving visitors at Carlisle Funeral Home from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, August 16, 2021.
