A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2002, at the Baptist Cemetery in Scotland Neck. The Rev. Billy Poteat will be presiding. Mrs. Wiggins is survived by her husband, Ronnie Wiggins of the home; daughter, Ashley Peterson of Rocky Mount; sons, Marcas Shields and Phillip Roberts, both of Rocky Mount; sisters, Sonia B. Fernandez of Scotland Neck, Angela Bass of Mebane and Janie Bass of Kelford; brothers, Brent Bass of Halifax, Gene Bass of Tarboro, Eddie Bass of Rocky Mount, David Bass, Mike Bass, Bill Bass and John Bass, all of Scotland Neck; grandmother, Elva Morris of Scotland Neck; one grandchild. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
