Ex-carpentger dies of injuries

MT. Vernon ? A retired carpenter John T. Bass, died at 7:55 p.m. yesterday from injuries received in a one-=car accident last Friday which occurred one quarter mile north of Mt. Vernon on Ind. 69.
The 4:20 p.m. accident resulted, when bass, 72, was traveling north on 69, lost control of his car, crossed the center line and struck a power pe. He was alone in the car.
Surviving are step-daughters, Mrs. Carl Taber of Cynthiana and Mrs. Robert Weir and Mrs. William Certain both of Mt. Vernon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Norvell Funeral Home with burial in St. Mathew Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
