Elijah James Bass, Jr.

Elijah James Bass, Jr., 78, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
He was born September 3, 1942 in Catawba County to the late Elijah James Bass, Sr. and Elizabeth Christmas Bass. James was a member of True Light Baptist Church in Mint Hill and retired from the furniture industry after many years of service. He enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and sharing his bounty of tomatoes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Eugene Bass; sisters, Edna Bass Gordon, Lila Mae Brown, Tressie Mae Bass Bost, Betty June Shook; granddaughter, Christina Clark, and special niece, Janice Novich.

Grandchildren: April Loftin, Marshall Sigmon, Roger Clark, Sara Clark, Paul Clark, Chelsie Goins, Wesley Uzzell, Austin Shuford, Eli Brooks, and Axel Brooks
Great-Grandchildren: Lacey Clark, Lane Clark, Jasper Loftin, Lillie Clark, Americus Hullet, Karson Clark, Peyton Clark, and Alexis Clark
