Don Boyer and the Rev. B. Marshall White-Hurst officiated at the First Christian Church. Burial was in Crestview Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, W.H. Britton; three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Butts and Mrs. Woodrow Thompson, both of Roanoke Rapids, and Rachel Britton of the home; two sons, Lester Bass of Lexington and Stancil Britton of Roanoke Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Moody of Roanoke Rapids and Mrs. Lillian Carpenter of Ohio; a brother, Nathaniel Taylor of Roanoke Rapids; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
