He was born on August 27, 1942, to the late Rexford and Mildred Barnes Bass in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Full obituary to come. Mr. Rex is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane Bass; children, Sam (Michele) Bass and Lisa (Kelly) Heaton; grandchildren, Adam (CiCi Delacruz) Brookfield, Riley (Lindsay) Bass, Zachary Heaton, Cameron (Reagan) Bass; great-grandchildren, Ellie Brookfield, and Ayden Brookfield; siblings, Jana Rubin and Kathy (David) Dickens and a host of nieces and nephews. A life celebration will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 2pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenbrier Cemetery with Adam Brookfield, Riley Bass, Zachary Heaton, Cameron Bass, Ricky Bryant, and Greg Deagan will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am until the time of service.
