Eileen M. Bassett
RICHLAND TOWNSHIP ? Bassett ? Eileen M., 85, Richland Township, went ot be with the Lord March 16, 2014, at her residence. Born Jun 26, 1928, in Johnstown, daughter of Clare and Charlotte O?Connor. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oren Wayne Bassett; great-grandson, Derrick Imler; son-in-law, Daniel Alexander; sister, Hilda J. Cemo; and brother-in-law, George Cemo. Eileen is survived by her love children, Robert, married to former Shirley Grove, Johnstown, and Linda, wife of Michael Cominsky, Johnstown; grandchildren, Scott Bassett, married to former Lisa Petney; Todd Bassett, married to former Stephanie Weigand; Brett Alexander; and Buffy (Alexander), wife of Ryan Imler; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Brooke, Megan and Madison Bassett and Nathan, Lauren, Sydney and Chase Imler; sisters, Marie, wife of Joseph Dona, Johnstown, and Dorothy, wife of James Roscoe, Bedford; and several nieces, nephews and lifelong friend, Rita Hart, Johnstown. She was a member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, where she worked in the food pantry and helped cook meals for church events. Eileen was a former member of Highland Boosters bowling league. She enjoyed line dancing for many years and will be remembered as the greatest pie maker. Eileen was a compassionate giver who always was helping others and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, Pastor Gary Tustin, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Greater Johnstown Christian fellowship, 3429 Elton Road, Johnstown, Pa, 15904, in memory of Eileen.
