Thomas Street, will be held today at 2 p.m. Services will be conducted at the Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Paul Lamm. Burial will be in the Lamm family cemetery near the church. The body will remain at Johson Funeral Home until taken to the church at noon today. He was a retired farmer and had been a resident of Rocky Mount for the past three years. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Essie Capps Bass of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Beebe of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Betty Lewis of Wilson, Mrs. William J. Holland of Portsmouth, Va., Miss Bonnie Lou Bass and Miss Shirley Faye Bass; three sons, Charles Ray Bass of the home, Jesse R. Bass and Addie Floyd Bass, both of Portsmouth, Va.; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Loue Ellen Sasser and Mrs. Sallie Collier, both of Black Creek, Mrs. Daisy Gifford of Lucama and Mrs. Josephine Gifford of Portsmouth, Va.; one brother, Jack Bass of Black Creek.
