Hubert G. Bass
Burlington - Hubert G. Bass, 35, of Burlington died Thursday night in a Durham hospital after several years of failing health.
A native of Johnson County, he was the son of Harde E. Bass, who survives, and the late Addie Watson Bass. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Troop Carrier Command of the Air Force.
Surviving in addition to his father are one son, Jimmy Bass of Columbia, South Carolina, and one sister, Miss Ida Bass of the home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Reverend L.A. Nall, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Little Arlington Section of Pine Hill Cemetery.

Native of Johnston County, he was the son of Hardy E. Bass, who survives, and the late Addie Watson Bass. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Troop Carrier Command of the Air Force. Surviving in addition to his father are one son, Jimmy Bass of Columbia, South Carolina, and one sister, Miss Ida Bass of the home.
