  Notes	News and Observer Raleigh, North Carolina Tuesday, March 18, 1952 Elisha Bass Wilson - Elisha Bass, 68, died at 5:30 o’clock Monday morning at his home in Black Creek. Mr. Bass was a native of Wilson County, son of the late Elisha and Nancy Crumpler Bass. He was a farmer and merchant in the Black Creek Community most of his life. He was an active member of the Black Creek Methodist Church. He was one of the leaders in the project for the dedication of the new Black Creek Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Lena Pittman; one son, Raymond E. Bass of Leonia, New Jersey; three daughters, Clara Bass of the home, Mrs. J.D. Boyette of Black Creek and Mrs. Roland Riddick of Bethel; one brother, Anderson Bass of Black Creek and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, at the Black Creek Methodist Church. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson.
