Georgia Shaw of Roswell Homecare and Hospice will officiate. Carl was born on June 22, 1952, to Henry L. Bass and June Hawkins Bass in Ventura, Calif. His parents have preceded him in death. Carl is survived by his sisters: Karen Deeter, Carla Martindill and husband Gale, Katherine Sherwood, and Roberta Taschner, all of Roswell; his nieces and nephews: Patricia Kanmore, Michael Deeter, Larry Deeter, John Robb, Leonard Robb, Toby Deeter, Jason Price, Ray Deeter, David Taschner and Daniel Taschner. Carl served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a lifelong resident of Roswell. He was an excellent mechanic and loved to work on cars. Carl was also a member of the DAV. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory. An online registry can be accessed at www.ballardfuneralhome.com.
