Sylvia Etta Bassett, daughter of Geo. A. Bassett and Ida B. Bassett, was born at Defiance, Ohio, january, 12th, 1883, and departed this life Sept. 15th, 1908, aged 25 yrs. 8 mo. and 3 da. She was converted and joined the Fairview M.P. church in the winter of 1901, under the pastorate of the present pastor. She had been a member of the U.B. church previous to moving to this place. In July 34d, 1902 she was united in marriage to Miles Olmsted to this were born two chidren, Ida Bell and Everett Eugene, who with husband, father, mother, two chidren, and one sister, survive her departure. Sylvia was a good child in her onnocent way and is certianly at rest with Christ in God.
The funeral was held at the Fairview church, Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. J.C. McCain officiating. Interment in the St. Joe cemetery, Elza Kinsey in charge.
