Miss Ware?s Vows Pledged
The First Baptist Church was the scene of the wedding at seven o?clock last evening of Miss Mary Jo Ware and Thomas Neal Bass, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Carter, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Linas Olen Bass of Morgan City, La., and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lide Culp.
Dr. W.W. Warmath officiated assited by Rev. David Shepperson of Warren. The church was decorated with white gladiolus and stock, Candelabra and greenery. Mr. and Mrs. Lecil Gibson, organist and soloist, provided the music.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore gown of Chantilly lace and silk satin ending in a chapel train. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a Peter Pan collar and long sleeves. Her slik illusion circular veil fell from a tiara of iridescent sequins and seed pearls. Her bouquet was a casdace of white glamellias and lilies of the valley.
Miss Nancy Lee of New Orelans was maid of honor. Bridemaids were Miss Lucy, Young, Miss Mary Jane Cobb, Miss Carol Ulmer of St. Joseph, La., and Mrs. Maurice Jones of Borger, Tex. They wore powder blue crystal satin ballerina dresses with square neckline and darker blue bustles and panels, Miss Lee carried a crescent bouquet of pink and cerise carnations. The other attendants carried cerise carnations.
Susan Shelby of Dallas, Tex., niece of the bride was flower girl. She wore a pink chiffon gown. David Lake of Austin, Tex., nephew of the bride, was ring-bearer.
Robert O. Bass of Olney, Ill., was his brother?s best man. Ushers were W.C. Ware Jr., brother of the bride; William C. Culp, uncle of the bridegroom, Jerry Dyson, of Rusotn, La., Milburn Barefield and Gene Bass of Shreveport, La., and Gibby Young.
Mrs. Frank Lane of Austin and Mrs. James L. Shelby of Dallas, sisters of the bride, received at the reception held at the church.
For travel the bride wore a beige printed silk dress with a beige spring coat and a green cymbidium orchid corsage.
The couple will return to Ruston for graduating exercises at Louisiana Polytechnic Institute when both will receive degrees. They will be at home in Morgan City until fall when Mr. Bass will enter the Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin.

Ware-Bass
The betrothal of Miss Mary Jo Ware to Thomas Neal Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Linas O. Bass of Morgan City, La., is announced by her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Carter Ware of El Dorado. Both Miss Ware and Mrs. Bass will be graduated from Louisiana Plytechnic Institue at the end of this semester. Miss Ware is president of Panhellenic Council and a past president of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. The wedding is planned for January 25 in El Dorado First Baptist Church.
