Gladys Sylvia Seckington Bass
Gladys Sylvia Seckington Bass, age 79, died Saturday at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount. Born in England, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Richard Seckington and Irene Elizabeth Rawlins and wife of the late David Lee Bass. She was a retired nurse.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday at 3:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Roberson officiating. Family members will greet friends Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Angie and Stephen Adcox of Battleboro; and two grandchildren, Oliver Adcox and Hannah Adcox.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be directed to the Salvation Army, 610 N William St, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
