Toinette "Toni" Bassett Barnson, 68, passed away January 26, 2019 at her home in Circleville from a lingering illness. She was born January 20, 1950 in Salina, Utah to Ralph Freeman and Ruby Ann Clark West. She married John Steve Barnson, February 21, 1969 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He preceded her in death June 3, 2001.
Toni was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; graduated from Cosmetology school; and was a counselor of troubled boys for the past 13 years - a career she enjoyed.
Surviving are her children: Brandy Ann (Chris) Vasquez, Jay Earl (Malodee) Barnson, Tony John Barnson, Jerry (Sandra) Worthen; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ike (Connie) Bassett, Cris (Kathy) Bassett, Theo Bassett, Linda West, Kerry West, Carleen West, Stacey (Becky) West. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Sid West.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Junction Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the ward chapel in Circleville Saturday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
