Mary Carolyn Bass Marion, KY - Mary Carolyn Bass (72) of Marion, Kentucky passed away at her home Saturday July 27, 2019. Miss Bass was survived by 1 sister, Christial (Bruce) Guess; 1 brother, Alfred C. Bass; 2 nephews Adam Guess, Matthew (Debi) Bass; 2 nieces Miranda Guess, Rebecca Kelley; 1 great nephew Nick Bass and 3 great nieces Katie Grace Kelley, Taylor Julian, Emma Julian. Miss Bass was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Mary Bass. She was a member of Christ Tabernacle Church. Funeral services for will be held 2:00 Wednesday July 31, 2019 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial at Loveless Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00AM until 2:00pm Wednesday July 31, 2019 at Gilbert Funeral Home.

Miss Bass was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Mary Bass.
She was a member of Christ Tabernacle Church.

Madisonville, Ky., woman killed after truck crashes into her house
MADISONVILLE, Ky. ? A Madisonville woman is dead after a pickup reportedly crashed into her home Saturday evening.
The incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. in the 500 block of Shady Grove Road.
According to a news release by Kentucky State Police, Christopher Hill, 43, was driving a 2009 GMC Sierra when he failed to stop at the intersection of Guess Road and Old Shady Grove Road. Hill's vehicle went through the front lawn and crashed into the home.
The homeowner, Mary C. Bass, 72, was sitting in a chair in her living room when Hill's vehicle struck her. Bass was pronounced dead at the scene by the Crittenden County Coroner's Office. Hill refused medical treatment.
An investigation by KSP is ongoing.
