Dennis Milton Bassett, Sr. age 72, passed away at home on June 29, 2021, in Kennewick, Washington. Dennis was born on December 15, 1948, in Gridley, California to Robert, Sr. and Norma (Nielsen) Bassett. Dennis married Melanie L. Hughes on November 13, 1970. Together they raised five children. He was a self-employed Hydraulic Tech/Mechanic. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed giving service to others and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids and great-grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his mother Norma Cahill; wife Melanie; sons, Denny, Ryan, Bret and Darin; daughter Darci Hansen; 28 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings Robert, Lynette, Boyd, Glen, Joanne and Nancy. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers Niels and Keith. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 ~ 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4445 S. Olympia Street, Kennewick, WA. Inurnment will be held on a later date at the Farmington City Cemetery, Farmington, Utah.
