  Notes	Mitchell Tribune, Indiana, Thursday, 20 December 1934 Augustus Bass Taken by Death Funeral service were held at Wesley Chapel church at 1:00 o?clock Tuesday afternoon for Augustus Bass, 75, well known resident of this locality who died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday at his home a short distance north of Mitchell following a cerebral hemorrhage which occurred last Friday. The services were conducted by the Rev. R.O. LaHue and the Rev. Erwin Omohundro. Funeral arrangements were handled by Haverly mortuary. Burial was made in the Bass Cemetery. Mr. Bass was born November 18, 1859 to William and Elizabeth Kirkley Bass, in Lawrence county. He was married to Miss Kansas Moore, who survives. Throughout his life he was a farmer until failing health several years ago compelled him to give up active work.
