Bass observed their golden wedding anniversary at their home on Sunday, Dec. 14th, with a family reunion. The date of their marriage was Dec. 12, 1897. A bountiful picnic dinner was enjoyed. The children and grandchildren present were: Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Bass, Jacksonville, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Hansell bass and daughter, Margaret, Albany, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ball Waycross, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Bass and daughter, Kay Largene, Panama City, Fla., S/Sgt. and Mrs. George Bass, Tampa, Fla., Sgt. and Mrs. Walter Bass, Fort Sumter, S.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Prince and children, Moultrie; Mr. H.J. Parrish and Miss Ethel Parrish, Moultrie, a brother and sister of Mrs. Bass also were present. The only member of the family who was not able to attend was a granddaughter who resides in Texas. During the afternoon old and new friends called to wish them many more years of happiness.
