Bride’s Brother Officiates At Louisburg Wedding Rites
Louisburg - In a ceremony yesterday in the Louisburg Baptist Church here Miss Virginia Elizabeth Bass became the bride of James Edward Bradsher.
Dr. Clarence B. Bass of St. Paul, Minnesota, brother of the bride, heard the vows and the Reverend A. S. Tomlinson, assisted in performing the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. William Roy Bass and the late Dr. Bass. The bridegroom is the son of Preston Bradsher of Clinton, and the late Mrs. Bradsher.
Miss Ann Wilson, soloist, and Mrs. B.W. Cash, organist, presented a program of nuptial music.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother Thomas Bass of Laurinburg, wore a full length gown of net with tiers of Chantilly lace over satin. Her tiered veil of French illusion was attached to a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a white Bible with a white orchid and stephanotis.
Miss Martha Freeman was maid of honor. She wore a full length gown of light blue cotton satin and carried a crescent shaped bouquet of mixed summer flowers.
The bridesmaids were Miss Frances Bass, sister of the bride, Miss Joyce Canady of Clinton, Miss Barbara Bennett of Raleigh, Miss Ruth Temple of Zebulon, Miss Frances Timberlake and Kay Kerley of Louisburg.
