Rose Bass Hunt
Rose Bass Hunt, 77, of Gainesville passed away February 10, 2014 at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. Rose was born February 23, 1936 to Johniford and Estell Bass of Bell, Florida. Rose has two siblings, J.T. Bass and Lula Mae Michael. She attended Bell High School graduating in 1954. Following graduation she moved to Gainesville, where she met and married her beloved husband of 53 years, W.J. Hunt. Rose and W.J. raised their daughters and operated their family businesses in the Alachua County area until his death in 2009. Rose was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, working side by side with her husband in all of their endeavors. She was an avid gardener and the only thing Rose enjoyed more than her flowers was her cherished family. A woman of faith, kindness and compassion, she reached out to any and all that needed her. A truer friend no one ever had. She will be missed by all that knew her and her beloved family.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Hunt and Wanda Robinson (Scott); her niece (who was like a daughter), Kim Lege (John); Grandson, Jared Robinson; step-grandchildren, Jordan Robinson, Jason Robinson, Stephanie Moody, Bernie Hamilton and their spouses; along with five step-great grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Hunt, and her parents, Estell and Johniford Bass.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hunt will be on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:30 pm at the Trinity United Methodist Chapel, 4000 NW 53rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32653.
