Funeral set Tuesday for William Bass, contractor
The funeral for William Lankford Bass, Sr., 62, a Seattle contractor, will be Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church. He died Wednesday of a heart attack while skiing at Cyrstal Mountain.
He was president of the Bass Construction Co. Inc., and was a boather and skier.
Mr. Bass was a graduate of Ballard High School and the University of Washington. He was a lieutenant commander in the Navy in World War II.
He was a member of Bethel Presyterian Church, Nile Temple of the Shrine, Grand Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons, Nile Golf and Country Club, Ballard Elks Lodge 827, U.W. Alumni Association, United States Power Swuadron, Associated General Contractors, Queen City Yacht Club, Washington Athletic Cluf, and American Society of Civil Engineers.
Surviving are his wife, Thomesena, Seattle; two sons, William Jr., and James, both of Sesattle; two daughters, Susan and Barbara, both of Seattle, two brothers, Lowell, Bellevue, and Leland, Seattle; and a sister, Adelle Prahinski, Seattle.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Salvation Army or to Bethel Presbyterian Church.
