Luther L. Bass Dies In Fairhope
FAIRHOPE, Ala. (Special) Luster L. Bass, 71, retired Brookley civil service employe, died Sunday at a local hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Carollton, Ga., and had been a resident of Fairhope the past 24 years.
He was a veteran of World War I, a member of WVF, Gaston-Lee Post, Fairhope, and the Fairhope Elks Lodge.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Fairhope Memory Gardens with the Rev. R.T. Park officiating. Bay View Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include Bass?s widow, Mrs. Dora W. Bass of Fairhope; two sons Luster Laurence Bass Jr. of New York City and Edwin Jordan Bass of Tallahassee, Fla.; one daughter, Carole Lee Bass of Fairhope, four grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Lloyd of Selma, Ala.

Mr. Luster L. Bass ? A native of Carrolton, Georgia, resident of Fairhope, Alabama, residing at 209 Liberty Street, died in a local hospital Sunday, March 28, 1971, at 4:30 a.m. Mr. Bass was a veteran of World War I, and member of Fairhope Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora W. Bass, Fairhope, Ala.; one daughter, Miss Carol Lee Bass, Fairhope, Ala; two sons, Edwin J. Bass, Tallahassee, Florida, and Luster L. Bass, Jr., New York City; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Lloyd Selma, Ala.; four grandchildren. Graveside services and interment will be in Fairhope Memory Garden Tuesday, March 30, 1971, at 11 a.m., with Rev. R.T. Parks officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 5 until 9 p.m. Funeral arrangements by Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Alabama.
